When to Take Muscle Milk: Muscle Milk is among the best tasting protein supplements and it is taken just like other muscle building shakes except it has a better taste! Plus its unique formula will help your reach your goals faster. To get started you can buy the Ready-to-Drink Muscle Milk products that come in several flavors or you can also buy it in powder form. If you have the powder then simply mix 2 scoops in 10-12 oz. of water or low fat milk if you are looking to gain weight.

The time in which you take your shake depends on your preference. Some take Muscle Milk Before, During or after workouts.

Before & During Workouts: By taking Muscle Milk before and during your workout you fill your body up with the nutrients it needs to grow lean muscle mass. You can take Muscle Milk before a workout to help your body get pumped up with the many nutrients it provides.

After / Post Workouts: Taking Muscle Milk after your workout helps your body recover from your workout and build muscle while you rest. After workouts, your body is in a catabolic state. By drinking Muscle Milk after your workout you help reverse this muscle breakdown by “tricking” the body into muscle synthesis.

Before Going to Sleep: Some people like to take Muscle Milk before going to sleep, this is recommended for those looking to gain weight. Taking Muscle Milk before you go to sleep will help your body wake up more anabolic since your body breaks down muscle for energy while you sleep. When you sleep you go into a catabolic period. While you sleep you also fast and your body can break down your hard earned muscle tissue for energy. Drinking Muscle Milk before going to bed gives your body the energy it needs while you are sleeping without breaking down your muscles and that’s why you wake up more anabolic.

Muscle Milk Side Effects: As with any protein supplement you should take it as instructed and along with a proper workout routine. As with all muscle building supplements, Muscle Milk should be taken in moderation along with a workout regimen. Many are worried about the high amount of “fat” in Muscle Milk however this isn’t the same fat found in junk food. The “fat” in muscle milk is fast burning fat which is used to feed your muscles so it can grow bigger and stronger.

Is Muscle Milk helping with the whey protien which I need for myelin sheath support or not? Tough one but your comments about this product could be helping or hindering, thoughts?

@Corey: Metals is not listed on their ingredients, but if you have serious doubts it would be best to give them a call about this.

I am not a doctor nor a chemist. However iorn, copper, and zinc are minerals found in metal. In high doses they can be quite destructive however you would have to drink more than two whole containers of this stuff to mess your self up. So, as long as your responsible and you stick to the recommended serving your body will effectively utilize the components in the product to help you out. However, if your not up for reading the label then allow natural selection to take its course.
